Short Bio of Ashikur Rahman

Ashikur Rahman is a National Award achiever from The Ministry of Youth & Sports in Bangladesh. He is a Young Entrepreneur and The Managing Director of SACK Trading Limited. He is also the owner of SACK Trading IT Agency. Besides, he is a Youth Activist, Global Youth Leader nominated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) under the Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020. He is also the winner of the prestigious “Tiger Cage” event at The National Youth Assembly 2020 under the Ministry of ICT Division, Bangladesh.

Ashikur Rahman, Ashik in short, is the Founder & President of a Government registered social and non-profit organization for youth in Bangladesh. He has been working in the Mental Health field as well as in the humanitarian & development sectors for the last 5 years. He is also a Mental Health Advocate and an Independent Researcher in the Mental Health field. He received one-year fellowship on Public Health from the Clinton Foundation, USA in 2020. He is an international speaker, presenter and mentor.

Receiving the Award

On 30 December 2021 at Osmani Memorial Auditorium, Dhaka-

Ashikur Rahman received the ‘Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2020’ from Zahid Ahsan Russel, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Youth & Sports, Government of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh which is the first ever award named after The Hon’ble Prime Minister “Sheikh Hasina” of Bangladesh in the Grand Closing Ceremony of Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020.

Global Youth Leader

250 Youth Leaders from 74 different countries around the world were nominated as the Global Youth Leaders under Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020. Ashikur Rahman was one of them who was nominated and attended the Resilient Youth Leadership Summit in Dhaka OIC Youth Capital, jointly organized by The Ministry of Youth & Sports and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh.

After that, he was also nominated as 30 under 30 Young Entrepreneur as well as attended the 3 months program named Entrepreneurship Skills and Employment Camp in Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020 organized by The Ministry of Youth & Sports, Bangladesh.

Tiger Cage Winner

In February 2020, Md. Ashikur Rahman become the winner of ‘Tiger Cage’ at The National Youth Assembly 2020 in Cox’s Bazar. It was one of the largest Youth event where more than 800 professionals, fresh graduates and students attended from almost all the Public and Private Universities in Bangladesh.

Tiger Cage is an event of The Ministry of ICT Division, Government of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Fellowship from Clinton Foundation

In December 2019, Mr. Ashikur Rahman received a fellowship for one year (2020) from The Clinton Foundation, USA. The fellowship was for his social impact project regarding ‘Mental Health & Addiction.’ He was the only Bangladeshi who received that fellowship for the year 2020 on ‘Public Health’ from The Clinton Foundation.

Former American President Bill Clinton is the Chair of Clinton Foundation. Therefore, Ashikur was invited for ‘The Annual Meeting 2020’ hosted by Bill Clinton from The University of Edinburgh which is one of the top ranked universities in the world.

Coordinator

Not only in the corporate world, but Ashikur Rahman has been working in the development sector for the last 5 years. He is a co-founder of many social and government registered private and non-profit organizations. Especially, he has been working on health issues, unemployment problem, child education, skill development, disasters as well as related to cultural sector. Due to his comprehensive experience and knowledge on social issues and activities, he received the offer to take the position as the Coordinator-Promotional Committee in Intercontinental Carnival Organizing Committee and he took that position.

Intercontinental Travel Trade & Cultural Carnival is an international event where there are more than 15 countries participate and show each of the country’s diverse Travel, Trade & Culture in order to make business relationship as well as to highlight the culture and tourism sector to attract the tourists around the world. This event organized by Intercontinental Travel Trade & Cultural Society.

International Trainer

Ashikur Rahman is an internationally recognized trainer, mentor and speaker from 2019. He has been providing training as a mentor and trainer on Mental Health, Leadership, Public Speaking, Presentation as well as other Skill Development both Nationally and Internationally.

He is a former Global Goodwill Ambassador (GGA) which is one of the biggest platform for the professionals on LinkedIn.

Social Activities

It has already been mentioned that Ashikur Rahman has been working in the social and development fields. But he has an speciality. He always works with having a large team. He has more than thousands of dedicated team members of his diverse social activities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he formed a team of 900 members who directly worked in the field in coordination with several government organizations to provide healthcare and other emergency services to the rural areas in Bangladesh. Ashikur and his team members directly served the COVID-19 contaminated patients along with their families in coordination with the Health Department! Therefore, he received several recognitions for his dedicated work and activities from several government organizations like health sectors, government administrative sectors and finally several ministries in Bangladesh.
